Evander Kane's time with the Edmonton Oilers has been full of ups and downs, with success recently making it to the Stanley Cup Finals. But even his past locker-room drama followed him to Edmonton, not dying down until the 2023-2024 season.
This could be a boon for GM Stan Bowman, as there's been interest to acquire Evander Kane from multiple NHL teams.
Should the Boston Bruins be in the Evander Kane sweepstakes?
He isn't ready to waive his NMC to join the Anaheim Ducks or Los Angeles Kings, so if GM Don Sweeney did trade for Kane, he could be persuaded to join the Bruins as they're perennial playoff performers.
Kane could fit in the top six as a power-forward, and agitator, and has a goal-scoring touch the team could use.
He may not be the same 50+ point forward he was in San Jose, but with the Bruins maybe he could find his old game, in Montomgery's system. Not to mention, he's not afraid to get in the dirty areas on ice and has a good finishing touch.
