Nick Foligno was recently interviewed by John Scott on Dropping The Gloves, in which he asked about his time in the Boston Bruins organization.

We all can remember, the disappointing Game 7 loss against the Florida Panthers as they dug their way back into the playoff series.

It would signify the fact that the Panthers were legitimate cup contenders, defeating the Presidents Trophy-winning Boston Bruins in 2023.

Much to Foligno's dismay of course, he was asked about his time in Boston and what the group was like there.

To which he stated, that the team may have been too good that season, as the depth the Bruins had was amazing, as they had too good of a roster.

Which would later cause Jim Montgomery trouble when trying to adjust the lineup, when the Panthers literally clawed their way back into the series.

He felt Montgomery was incapable of making the right adjustments, playing the right goalie, and just couldn't be successful with a deep roster in 2022-2023.

You could see even in this series in 2023-2024, where the Bruins again were bounced by the Panthers in the 2nd round of the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs.
