The Boston Bruins are getting ready to make another trade after just acquiring this player yesterday.

The Ottawa Senators and Boston Bruins combined for a trade yesterday that sent Linus Ullmark to the Senators, in return the Bruins got the 25th overall pick, Joonas Korpisalo and Mark Kastelic.
A recent report has surfaced that the Boston Bruins might be looking to already trade Joonas Korpisalo, even though they got 25% retained on his contract, the Bruins originally traded Ullmark to get rid of cap space.
Bruins Network has reported the Bruins may try and retain 25% in a trade. If the Bruins do this, they will be paying him $1 million for four years instead of $3 million for four years.
Just think we were wrong about how much leverage Boston had. Chychrun was obviously never part of the deal or he would be here today— signs point to that just being a rumor. No market for Korpisalo at $4m, but BOS could retain 25%, eat 4x$1m and find a market at 4x$2m. #NHLBruins

If the Bruins do move on from Korpisalo and trade him, all signs would point to Brandon Bussi becoming Jeremy Swayman's backup for next year.
Brandon Bussi just signed a one-year, two-way contract with a $775k AAV with the Boston Bruins, and many speculate he will be the backup to Swayman heading into the 2024-25 season.
