There's a chance that the Boston Bruins could end up reuniting with one of their beloved defenseman.
The St. Louis Blues could end up buying out Torey Krug, which could happen as according to DFO's Frank Seravalli, Krug's been listed as a buyout candidate:
Former Bruins defenseman Torey Krug, who left in free agency following the 2020 postseason bubble in Toronto to sign with the St. Louis Blues, was listed as a buyout candidate this offseason by Seravalli.
Ok #NHLBruins fans. There is talk that #STLBlues will buy out the contract of Torey Krug. Would you bring Krug back for short money? (This is going to piss me off)
33 years old 2023-24: 4-35-39 -31 in 77 games PP: 0-13-13 in 2023-24
They failed to trade Krug in a package to the Philadelphia Flyers, and this could save the Blues some cap, while cutting Krug loose to find a new home all the while.
In the meantime, Bruins such as David Pastrnak are already thrilled at the chance to play with Torey Krug again.
The 31-year-old defenseman, is a reliable and consistent defenseman in four seasons with the Blues, posting 31 assists a year.
