Danton Heinen has officially left the Boston Bruins organization
After a short reunion, former Bruins forward Danton Heinen has signed a new deal with the Vancouver Canucks according to Canucks general manager Patrik Allvin.
His new deal is a two-year deal worth $2.25 million per season. Heinen, left the organization before was brought back due to head coach Jim Montgomery who was his coach with Denver a few years ago. His second tenure with the Bruins produced solid results as he played 74 games, scoring 17 goals with 19 assists for 36 points.
His new deal is fair for his point production and the Canucks will have a solid bottom six player after trading Sam Lafferty and Ilya Mikheyev.
The Bruins have been busy on July 1st and will continue to do so as they spend their money and try to solidify their roster for next year.
