Last night in Calgary, Jeremy Swayman set a record as he won his 90th game in the NHL. A milestone that shows the caliber of NHL goalie that the Bruins have in the net.
While it has been a trying year for the Bruins, Swayman isn't letting the past stop him as he looks to the future.
He currently has a record of 90-43-17, with an 11-10-2 record this season with a .887 save percentage.
Swayman made 20 saves to win the game last night and was fortunate to have support from David Pastrnak to get the overtime game-winning goal.
Swayman has won the last five of his six games, and doused the Flames with some water, as they were 7-0-0 prior to the matchup.
Swayman though has his work cut out for him, as this is one milestone he should keep close to his heart.
Minnesota-born goalie Frank Brimsek has 230 total wins with the Bruins, and 3rd in all-time wins behind Tuukka Rask, and Tiny Thompson.
With Swayman's 90 wins, he is 13th on the list according to StatMuse and with an eight-year deal, we should see him eclipse Tim Thomas or Andy Moog.
Swayman signed with the Bruins after the beginning of the regular season, for an eight-year $66 Million deal.
He is the Bruins starting goalie, and we expect a return to form out of the goalie to finish out the 2024-2025 season.
