Even though the Bruins were without Patrice Bergeron for game three against the Panthers, the captain still found a way to help out from back home in Boston.
Still Making a Difference
Bergeron did not make the trip with his team down to Florida for games three and four, but according to Matt Porter of the Boston Globe, the veteran was still making an impact from 1000-plus miles away.
He reportedly sent messages and pointers to assistant coach Chris Kelly while watching the game from home.
''Montgomery said Bergeron texted asst coach (and former teammate) Chris Kelly Xs and Os tidbits he was seeing during the game.''
Despite not even being in the same state, Bergeron still made a difference in a pivotal game three.
Also, Boston's depth came through massively without David Krejci in the lineup, too, as the Bruins came away with a 4-2 win on the road.
