The Boston Bruins have disciplined two players moments before their home opener against the Montreal Canadiens.

It's no secret that the Boston Bruins got outplayed in their season opening game against the Florida Panthers, the defence, and goaltending was atrocious, and Jim Montgomery is not wasting time making changes.

Jim Montgomery has made changes to his defensive pairings already heading into tonight's game, and one of the most notable changes is Mason Lohrei coming out on the lineup, and Parker Wotherspoon replacing him.

Those aren't the only changes that Jim Montgomery is making, he also revealed that Max Jones is coming out of the lineup as well, after playing just one game for the Boston Bruins, and Riley Tufte is taking his spot.

Montgomery confirmed that Tufte and Wotherspoon are in for Jones and Lohrei. He said that's not a reflection of Jones and Lohrei's games in particular since the whole team was poor Tuesday, but he wants to get everyone in early in the season anyways.

Max Jones was involved in some controversy during his first game with the Boston Bruins after trying to slash away Evan Rodrigues' stick, but he ended up hitting a referee with his stick instead.

Many believed that he could face some consequences for his actions but the NHL Player Safety came to a decision, and decided it was an accident, and no further actions needed to be taken.

It was not a good first impression for Max Jones, but he ended up getting a 2 minute penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct and that was it.

Do you think pulling Max Jones and Mason Lohrei out of the roster is the right move for the Bruins?
