Jim Montgomery seems to be hitting the panic button following game one against the Florida Panthers, as he is already making changes to the Boston Bruins defensive core.

The Boston Bruins are preparing to take on the Montreal Canadiens tonight for their second game of the year, and it's obvious that Jim Montgomery did not like how the Boston Bruins played in their opening night game against the Florida Panthers.

The Bruins are now set to take on the Montreal Canadiens in their own home opener tonight at TD Garden, and Montgomery has already announced some changes for tonight's game.

The Boston Bruins went with defensive pairings of Charlie McAvoy with Hampus Lindholm, Mason Lohrei with Brandon Carlo, and Nikita Zadorov with Andrew Peeke during their last game, but Montgomery is making changes for tonight's game.

During practice this morning the Boston Bruins were running some different defensive pairings, which many thought they were going to start the year off with. The Bruins are placing Nikita Zadorov on the top line with Charlie McAvoy, Hampus Lindholm with Brandon Carlo, and Parker Wotherspoon has slotted in with Andrew Peek, with Mason Lohrei coming out of the lineup.
