The Boston Bruins announced today that they have recalled forward Vinnie Lettieri from the Providence Bruins in the American Hockey League, after they announced last night that Marc McLaughlin was placed on the waiver wire.
Today, interim head coach Joe Sacco made some surprising roster moves for the Bruins, and even demoted a surprising player in the process after the Bruins recalled Lettieri.
The Bruins top two lines are going to remain the same as they have been the past little while, but Justin Brazeau is getting demoted down to the Bruins fourth line where he will play with Cole Koepke, and Johnny Beecher.
Vinnie Lettieri will play on the Boston Bruins third line after being recalled along with Oliver Wahlstrom, and Trent Frederic.
The Bruins also made some changes to their defensive pairings. Nikita Zadorov has been demoted down to the Bruins third pairing, and Mason Lohrei is going to see some ice time with Charlie McAvoy.
It was confirmed by head coach Joe Sacco today that Mark Kastelic will not be good to go for the Bruins game against the Tampa Bay Lightning tomorrow as he is still being labelled day-to-day, so Brazeau is going to take his spot.
