The off-season is chock full of speculation and lists, as pundits spend time analyzing teams, players and coaches while we await the puck drop in October.
Honestly, it's part of the fun of the off-season until the snub happens to a player you love.
And Elias Lindholm is one of those players who was snubbed on the Top 20 Centers list in the NHL. This list was compiled by the NHL Network and featured players like Robert Thomas(?! of the St. Louis Blues) and even Sebastian Aho of the Carolina Hurricanes.
It's arguable to say that Aho is a 1C anywhere else in the NHL, but of course, Lindholm got snubbed and those two are on the list? I call bulls***.
While 2023-2024 wasn't kind to Lindholm, scoring 44 points(15 G, 29 A) in 75 games split between the Vancouver Canucks and Calgary Flames. He's got the Patrice Bergeron qualities, Don Sweeney loves which is why they signed Lindholm.
It's expected that in the Bruins system, Lindholm will bounce back to the kind of play in 2021-2022, which saw him post 82 points in 82 games with the Calgary Flames.
Will Lindholm find his game again under Jim Montgomery?
