After setting the NHL record for most wins in a single season (63), the Bruins can now put their name atop of more league history with two games remaining.

Aiming for the Points Record

Boston has games remaining at home against the Capitals on Tuesday and close out the regular season in Montreal on Thursday. According to Ty Anderson of 98.5 The Sports Hub, the team has a chance to surpass a longtime record held by the Canadiens.

''The Bruins need two points over their final two games to set the NHL's single-season points record. Tonight's win puts them at 131 points, just one behind the 1976-77 Canadiens.''

Surely, the Bruins will continue to rest multiple key players in the final two games - especially with the wins record locked up. However, as they've proved all season long, can and will win with whatever lineup Jim Montgomery ices.
