With the March 7th NHL trade deadline right around the corner, the Boston Bruins officially have a decision to make and are left with two different options.

According to The Hockey News, the Bruins are now left with two options regarding Brad Marchand, and a decision needs to be made soon.
There is just eight days left until the NHL trade deadline is here, and the Boston Bruins are going to be a very busy team.
Due to how disappointing of a season they have had, they are not currently in a play spot in the Eastern Conference, and every other team has games in hand on them.
This makes the possibility of them being sellers at the NHL trade deadline a high possibility.
But this isn't the biggest decision they are going to have to make, as they are going to have to make a massive decision with their captain, and there are two options left for him.

Bruins Have Two Options Left With Brad Marchand

Option 1: Bruins Trade Marchand
There still is a chance that Brad Marchand gets traded at the deadline. If the Bruins receive a massive offer for him that they can't turn down, it's hard seeing Don Sweeney reject it as he still does not have a contract extension.
With how valuable Marchand is, the Bruins cannot risk losing him for free in free agency during the off-season. Especially considering the team is trending towards retooling, losing Marchand for free will set them back big time.
Option 2: Bruins Sign Marchand To Extension
The Bruins still have eight days to get Brad Marchand signed to a contract extension, and on February 23rd Don Sweeney confirmed that his goal is to get Brad Marchand extended.
Marchand has been a Bruin his whole career, and at 36-years-old he is still one of the Bruins best players as he currently sits second in points on the Bruins with 21 goals, and 47 points in 59 games this year.
The Bruins have eight days to get something done with Brad Marchand or the chances of him being traded are very high.
