Last night the Boston Bruins were hit with some unfortunate news as it was revealed that Trent Frederic ended up leaving their game against the Toronto Maple Leafs with an injury.

Early on into the second period, the Bruins dumped the puck into the offensive zone. Trent Frederic was hunting it down and he collided with Maple Leafs defenseman Jake McCabe.
Frederic got the worst of it as he struggled to get back onto his feet, and then was limping. It was reported that he was limping on the bench before heading down the Bruins tunnel.
Frederic was laboring on the bench before heading to the room.
Frederic would end up missing the remainder of the second period after leaving just 4 minutes into the game.
He was not on the Bruins bench for the start of the third period either, and did not end up returning to the game.
No Trent Frederic to start the third.

Unfortunate News Strikes The Bruins And Trent Frederic

Following the game, Joe Sacco met with the media and was asked what's going on with Frederic, and he did not have an answer stating there is "no update" on him.
No update on Trent Frederic.
Frederic has been involved in a lot of trade rumours this season, and there is a lot of speculation that he was going to get moved at the deadline, but this may change things for the Bruins.
If Frederic is dealing with an injury, the chances of him being traded are very slim.
Hopefully for the Bruins and Frederic he isn't out long-term.
