Some very devastating injury news has just surfaced for the Boston Bruins as one of their top trade candidates at this year's NHL trade deadline just left the Bruins-Leafs game with an injury.
With how this season has gone for the Boston Bruins, they have multiple players that have been involved in trade rumours, but no one has been involved in more then Trent Frederic.
Trent Frederic has been a hot topic around the rumour mill all year long especially considering that he is set to be an unrestricted free agent.
Frederic is a solid gritty forward who is not afraid to stick up for his teammates, go to the dirty areas, and throw his body weight around. This is what has made him super appealing to a lot of contenders this year.
Well in their game against the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Boston Bruins got some horrible news regarding Frederic.
Frederic Leaves Game With Injury
During the second period, the Boston Bruins dumped the puck into the offensive zone and Trent Frederic was hunting it down.
He went to lay a hit on Leafs defenseman Jake McCabe, when he fell awkwardly and took his time getting up.
He would head back to the bench, and was limping before he decided to head down the Bruins tunnel.

This is tough news for both the Bruins and Frederic. They are already dealing with a handful of injuries on key players, and losing Trent Frederic would be a big loss as they hunt for a playoff spot.
