A Major Developement Has Surfaced Regarding Hampus Lindholm Suffering A Career-Ending Injury

The Boston Bruins may have to face the fact that Hampus Lindholm could be out of the lineup longer than expected. With his latest fractured patella diagnosis, it could prove to be career-ending.
Hampus Lindholm is suffering from a fractured patella, and it was reported by GM Don Sweeney he wouldn't return for the season.
But the latest development is concerning, as not only have we seen this before with another Bruins player (Kevan Miller), he'd be another casualty of this style of injury.
«As everybody knows he had a significant knee injury, fractured his patella, had surgery,» Sweeney said. There was no real definitive timeline, and we were pretty open about that and we didn't want to peg a timeline on it because of the complexity of the injury.»
That is troubling news if we draw parallels to another Bruins player who suffered the same fate as Lindholm, it looks bad.
Miller would remain out of the lineup after fracturing his knee and would return in 2020.
Miller, 33, missed the entire 2019-20 season recovering from a twice-broken kneecap, which he originally injured in a crash into the boards April 4, 2019 in Minnesota. While nearly cleared from surgery during the 2019 Eastern Conference Final, he broke it again while training. Miller had two more surgeries on the knee.
Only to retire a year later due to the fact the knee surgeries didn't seem to hold up.
So we will have to be patient with Lindholm's progress, no matter how small it seems it could cost him his entire career if he doesn't play his cards right wearing the spoked-B.
Kevan Miller suffered a worse fate after getting multiple corrective surgeries and having to hang up the skates after complications made it worse.
We hope the same fate won't befall Hampus Lindholm, but it appears that there's more variables than we know at play right now.
