The Boston Bruins have made a decision after the 4 Nations Face-Off, and apparently, GM Don Sweeney feels that Brad Marchand should remain a Bruin.

The Boston Bruins and GM Don Sweeney have a future that involves Brad Marchand according to one NHL Insider.
Elliotte Friedman on today's 32 Thoughts Podcast stated that the Bruins and Marchand are working on a deal that could keep him in a spoked-B a bit longer.
Marchand would be asked whether or not GM Don Sweeney would trade him during the round-robin tournament, he and Canada would win.
He desires to remain a Bruin and would publically state how weird it'd be for the Bruins to trade him.
«All it takes is one article, or one person making a comment on TV or the radio or a podcast - and then it kind of takes off from there. Other people start writing articles off the same comments," Marchand said. «So, I try not to get caught up in it. I'm not worried about trade rumors.
Now it appears since the 4 Nations Face-Off is over Don Sweeney and Marchand can shut out the noise and get to business on the Captain's next contract.
Marchand's last eight-year deal that pays him $6.125 million AAV expires in July. If the team weren't going to sign him, they'd have to trade him in order to ensure a return of assets to keep the team stocked with talent.
Fortunately for GM Don Sweeney, that won't come to pass as he plans on rewarding Marchand with a new deal.
But we're just wondering what the terms will be for Marchand's new deal with the Bruins.
Will they keep him for a shorter term? Is a retool even in the cards at this point?
