Boston Bruins take ultimate loss against the New York Islanders on Thursday with the loss of forward Matt Poitras
The Boston Bruins are home tonight at TD Garden hosting the New York Islanders in a highly anticipated matchup for two teams grinding it out for each and every point at the moment for a playoff push.
The games at high intensity, with several uncalled cross checks and penalties from the Bruins on the Islanders, New York decided to retaliate in a very, dirty way.
Young forward Matt Poitras has had a difficult season point wise, with 11 points in 29 games, and sadly he now faces another setback.
New York Islanders forward Brock Nelson, who is currently working on a contract extension with the organization, retaliated against Bruins' forward Matt Poitras.
A suspension may be in play, but a fine nonetheless, have a look at this play:

The Boston Bruins have confirmed that it is unlikely Matt Poitras will return tonight with a lower-body injury.
