Good signing for a bottom six guy who brings it every night and knows his job description

The Boston Bruins acquired Mark Kastelic in the off-season when they traded Linus Ullmark to the Ottawa Senators. Along with Kastelic the Bruins also acquired Joonas Korpisalo and the Senators first-round draft pick.

Many people were not a fan of this trade, but Mark Kastelic has quickly became a fan favourite to the Boston Bruins fans.

The 25-year-old has appeared in 39 games for the Boston Bruins this season, and began the season red hot, but has since slowed down. He has four goals and seven assists for 11 points and lead the team in points at the beginning of the season.

He also leads the team in hits with 151 this year, and is also tied for first in penalty minutes with teammate Nikita Zadorov who was also acquired in the off-season by the Bruins.

Kastelic currently sits a plus-4 on the season and is tied for fourth in plus-minus on the Bruins. He also sits second in the NHL in hits, fourth in hits per 60 minutes among other players that have played a minimum on 25 games this season.

In his 183 career games split between the Boston Bruins organization and the Ottawa Senators organization, Mark Kastelic has 18 career goals, 18 career assists for 36 career points along with 255 penalty minutes.
