The Boston Bruins have officially missed out on a player after he was claimed off of waivers today.

The Bruins have missed out on acquiring a solid depth player who could've potentially replaced the liking of Jake DeBrusk.

They were rumoured to be interested in Barclay Goodrow after getting placed on waivers by the New York Rangers, but have missed out on the opportunity to claim him, as reported by Frank Seravalli, the San Jose Sharks have claimed him today.

"Sources: #sjsharks claimed Barclay Goodrow off waivers from #NYR.

Rangers get out from Goodrow's final three seasons at $3.64 million without any cap consequences - no buyout or dead cap space necessary.

In 2 hrs, Sharks added Dellandrea and Goodrow to boost competitiveness." He said in a post on X.

There were rumours yesterday that the San Jose Sharks had a agreement in place to claim Goodrow off waivers.

"Though there is belief there is a pre-arranged deal for the Sharks to claim Goodrow, who spent the first six seasons of his NHL career in San Jose." Walker said.

Goodrow was one of the Rangers best players during the playoffs scoring 6 goals on 15 shots in 16 games, but ultiamtely the Rangers are in a tough situation with cap, and needed to move on from a player.
