It was recently revealed that the Boston Bruins sent a gift basket to a disgraced forward for the Edmonton Oilers.
Evander Kane recently revealed that he got sent a gift basket sent to him from the Boston Bruins earlier in his career. Since then Kane has been accused of multiple major accusations including domestic violence towards his former wife and gambling.
Matt Cooke was the reason that former Boston Bruins player Marc Savard's career came to an end early. Cooke took a cheap shot at Savard hitting him high and causing him to have some serious concussion issues which would ultimately end his career.
Cooke was known for being a dirty player around the league but somehow he didn't get a penalty or a suspension from the league.
Not long after the hit, the Penguins and Atlanta Thrashers played a game against each other where Matt Cooke and Evander Kane who was a rookie at the time got into a fight. The fight came to a end pretty quickly as Kane would knock Cooke out with one punch.
Kane was recently on 'Pardon My Take' where he would reveal that the Boston Bruins sent him a gift basket for knocking out Matt Cooke.
"He was a dirty, dirty player. When it happened — I mean, I probably watched it, I'm not even over-exaggerating, 300 times," Kane said of the video of him punching out Cooke. "And then I got, I actually got a gift basket from the Boston Bruins later that year in the offseason because of what he did to Marc Savard."
The Boston Bruins basically sent the gift basket as a thank you to Evander Kane after doing what he did to Cooke. Cooke was always known as a dirty player around the league and was always involved in controversy.
