Following their game, Boston Bruins star players spoke with the media and had an interesting response to being booed off of home ice.

After losing another game to the Edmonton Oilers Tuesday evening, the Bruins are now on a five game losing streak, and this one was probably one of their worst games losing 4-0, and it's clear that Bruins fans have had enough.

During the final seconds of the game, Boston Bruins fans at TD Garden let the Bruins know how they felt about their performance by booing them off their own ice.

That wasn't all though, the Bruins have not been close to good this year, and they are starting to take their frustration out on General Manager Don Sweeney as a chant to fire him broke out as well.

Fluto Shinzawa of the Athletic met with some of the Bruins top players following their embarrassing loss once again and they could no longer ignore how fans are feeling.

Elias Lindholm had this to say following the game:

«A lot of disappointment. Embarrassed. Frustration,» Lindholm said. «A lot of things.»

Now the Bruins are facing a big challenge as they currently sit third in the Atlantic Division with 45 points, but are set to face the Tampa Bay Lightning and then the Florida Panthers, but at least they won't be booed again if they play a bad game because they will be the visiting team.

Boston Bruins head coach Joe Sacco is trying to quickly figure out what needs to be done to turn things around for the Bruins before this gets out of hand.

«We have to find some solutions within our team,» Sacco said. «That's the next step for us.»

Shinzawa bluntly stated that there is no help coming seeing that General Manager Don Sweeney

«has little cap space to add and nobody is ready down below.»

Fans are not happy with this either as they think change needs to happen, but they are hopeful that letting the team know how they felt during their recent game wakes them up.

Charlie Coyle was also asked how fans have been reacting to their games, and what's the plan move forward for the Bruins:

«We need to do a better job of that and identifying that and making sure we're doing the right things. It's never going to be a perfect season. No team plays perfect. Every team has lulls. But we've got to stop the bleeding quicker here. We can't let it seep in game after game like that with his little stretch going on right now.»

«That's our job at the end of the day, and we're all getting paid for it,» Nikita Zadorov added when speaking about balancing calm and urgency. «People come and pay tickets, big bucks to watch us do that. It's our job. There's no excuses to find the balance.»

Hopefully this wakes the Bruins up, or some serious changes could be coming for the Bruins.
