Dean Letourneau was selected 25th overall in the 1st round at the 2024 NHL Draft.

He was selected with the pick gained from the Linus Ullmark trade earlier in the month.

He's characterized as a 6'7" with preposterous agility and should excite Bruins fans, with an accurate shot, with exceptional speed while skating, and can pass with the skill enough to be dangerous.

Of course, he's not afraid to get physical, throws hits, and could stand to develop more of his defensive game.

But he will get the chance to develop his game further in the NCAA, with the Boston College Eagles.

As he makes his trip to Boston in the fall to start his collegiate career, he has gone with a different number this season.

He will wear #20 on his jersey at BC this fall:

We can't wait to hear an update of his growth as a player in the NCAA soon enough.

Letourneau is gigantic, but contrary to other players his size, it doesn't feel like he's trapped in his own body. He moves quite freely, especially because he uses crossover techniques to avoid the long, slower strides, and there's a good upper-body/lower-body separation and some agility. A lot of his offence consists of downhill attacks where he surveys pressure, drives the net with his range and size, or leverages the attention he receives to find open teammate. -EliteProspects 2024 NHL Draft Guide
