Brad Marchand Calls Out Team After Loss

Although the loss to Nashville means nothing to Boston, assistant captain Brad Marchand had a strong message for the entire team afterward.

The only thing the Bruins could have accomplished last night was a Presidents' Trophy, as the Hurricanes dropped a 4-0 decision to the Lightning. That will come soon enough anyways.

''Disrespected the Game'' says Marchand

Despite it being just a 2-1 loss, and the Bruins outshooting the Predators 36 to 23, Marchand was not happy with himself and the team. As the veteran stated that they ''disrespected the game'' in the loss.

The Bruins have nothing to lose, or gain, down the stretch but they took a Nashville opponent that still has a chance at making it into the Western Conference Wild Card picture.

As Marchand noted to, he likes how the team rallies for games like the back-to-back wins this weekend against the Lightning and Hurricanes. It's easy to forget that the NHL has probably the most parity out of all major sports leagues.

In total, however, it's really nothing to worry about. The Bruins aren't playing for anything in these final nine games but to stay sharp.

It was a group consensus, too, though, as head coach Jim Montgomery and captain Patrice Bergeron also eluded to the lack of ''respect for their opponent'' on Tuesday night. Check out their reactions and more in the video below:
