Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand has called out the Boston Bruins following their loss to the Senators and he believes they need to make some change.

Saturday night the Boston Bruins blew a 2-1 lead, and ended up losing in overtime against the Ottawa Senators in Linus Ullmarks return to TD Garden.

Following the loss, the Bruins struggled to pinpoint what exactly their problem was during their game against the Ottawa Senators.

Boston Bruins head coach and David Pastrnak were both stumped on why the Bruins struggled in the third period against the Senators.

During the entire third period of this game, the Boston Bruins did not register a single shot. The Senators would score the game winning goal less than one minute into overtime.

The Boston Bruins have struggled all year long, and there are multiple reasons why, but captain Brad Marchand believes that if the Bruins change this, it will make a big difference for them.

«Sometimes when you lack confidence or you're overthinking, your execution is slow,» Marchand told reporters, per The Athletic. «We need to get out of our heads. Stop thinking and start playing. It comes down to will and compete at this point. We need to understand we need to be better. That's part of it. Sometimes when you're thinking about where you're supposed to be, you're half a second late. That's too slow in this league.»

The Boston Bruins are now off for multiple days, as they don't play until Tuesday when they begin a road trip starting in St. Louis.

Puck drop between the Bruins and Blues is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET, and coverage will begin on NESN for 7 p.m. ET.
