Brad Marchand could be hearing from the NHL's Player Safety Department following a hit on a forward from the New Jersey Devils during Saturday's game in Boston.
Will He Face Further Discipline?
As Michael McLeod was carrying the puck out of his zone, Marchand caught him with what appears to be a high hit on the youngster. Check it out:
According to multiple reports, McLeod left the game dazed and bloodied, and the on-ice officials did not give Marchand a penalty on the play. And as Matt Porter of the Boston Globe hinted at, it wasn't a good play by a repeat offender.
''Need to see a few more angles of that hit, but that first angle wasn't a good look for Marchand.''
It will be interesting to see if the league decides to punish the Bruins' veteran.
