Brad Marchand not likely to return to the game
A unfortunate update was just provided on Brad Marchand as the Boston Bruins take on the Philadelphia Flyers.
Brad Marchand was appearing in his first game with the Boston Bruins after undergoing three surgeries in the off-season. Today he finally got cleared to play in a game, but it didn't last long.
Marchand ended up missing a shift in the first period, but did take another after that.
Marchand missed a shift with Coyle and Geekie, but he's back out there now.
The Boston Bruins lead 1-0 to end the first period, but to start the second period Brad Marchand was not on the bench for the Boston Bruins.
Brad Marchand is not out for the start of the second period.
The Boston Bruins would then release a statement on social stating that Brad Marchand more then likely will not be returning to the game tonight.
UPDATE: Brad Marchand (illness) is questionable to return to tonight's game.
Thankfully it is not due to an injury, but just an illness for the Boston Bruins captain.
