Brad Marchand opens up about the possibility of leaving the Bruins
Brad Marchand has opened up to the media about a possibility of him leaving the Boston Bruins.
Next year will be the final deal of his contract he signed in 2017, a 8 year $49 million deal, and was asked recently if there have been any conversations with Bruins management regarding an extension.
Brad Marchand has spent his entire career with the Boston Bruins and is now 36, coming to the end of his career, and when speaking to reporters he made it clear that he would like to finish playing in Boston.
''Obviously, I can't believe how quick it came. It'll definitely be a conversation at some point,» Marchand said Sunday at the team's final media availability of the season. «We'll go from there. I've been here for my whole career and would love to continue that when the time comes.''
You never know what could happen, if Brad Marchand truly wants to make another run for the Stanley Cup, he may opt to not sign with the Bruins and take a shot somewhere else.
