The Boston Bruins are able to unload Dmitry Orlov to the Carolina Hurricanes on a 2-year deal worth $7.75 million AAV.
This is a good deal for Orlov and the Hurricanes, a short term deal that isn't worth to much. Then he can resign on a bigger deal later on.
Orlov only played 23 games for the Bruins, putting up 4 goals, 13 assists for 17 points. The 5'11 defensemen has over 700 games under his belt with 273 points, definitely a solid stay at home defensemen and will be very solid on the Hurricanes back end.
