A major announcement was just made regarding Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand and he just made franchise history with the Bruins.
Brad Marchand showed up for their game against the San Jose Sharks after being benched by interim head coach Joe Sacco in their previous game against the Ottawa Senators on Saturday.
During their game against the San Jose Sharks, Brad Marchand had a new linemate in Matt Poitras, and they would end up both picking up a point on Charlie Coyle's goal that ended up being the game tying goal for the Boston Bruins.
Marchand would go on later to score a empty net goal, and the Bruins would find themselves back in the win column after taking down the San Jose Sharks 6-3.
The captain had a big bounce back game after being benched by Joe Sacco for all of overtime and the shootout on Saturday.
