When it looked like the Boston Bruins were going to lose their second game straight and fall even more out of a Wild Card spot, the Boston Bruins came back from being down 3-2 and scored four straight and won 6-3.

It was Boston's fifth third period comeback and the 14th time in a row they beat the San Jose Sharks and it puts them fifth all-time with the largest win streak against a single team.

Also, Charlie Coyle returned and had two goals in the third period to help them secure the victory.

Charlie Coyle scored two of four @NHLBruins goals in the third period and lifted Boston to its fifth third-period comeback win of the season and the franchise's 14th consecutive win against San Jose overall since Feb. 9, 2017.

These were the two goals Coyle scored:

The second one in particular was the most impressive because Coyle was going behind the net, looked behind him, and just threw the puck off of Yaroslav Askarov's legs and into the net.

That win over the Sharks puts the Bruins back into the second Wild Card spot after just a one-game hiatus with a record of 23-19-6 with 52 points. The next team below them is the Columbus Blue Jackets with 51 points.

The win also puts the Bruins only one point off the Tampa Bay Lightning for third in the Atlantic as they're fifth place, but the Lightning has four less games played than they do.

It's safe to say that if the Bruins make the playoffs, Charlie Coyle and this third period come back can be remembered for why because of the two points picked up.
