Milan Lucic reveals why he didn't want to go play for Boston's biggest rival
In a significant move during free agency, veteran forward Milan Lucic had a tough decision to make between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Chicago Blackhawks, both vying for his services.
However, Lucic ultimately chose to return to the Boston Bruins, the team where he originally made a name for himself.
Lucic explained that it would have been emotionally challenging to join the Maple Leafs, considering his history and connection with the Bruins' faithful.
The decision wasn't easy for Lucic, who cited his deep emotional connection with the Bruins' faithful as a significant factor.
While the opportunity to play alongside phenom Bedard in Chicago was alluring, the pull of his history and memories in Boston proved too strong to resist.
Bruins fans can now eagerly anticipate Lucic's return to the black and gold, as he rejoins the team where he left an indelible mark on the franchise.
