In a recurring pattern of locking up restricted free agents, the Boston Bruins made significant moves for the second consecutive Monday.

One notable addition to their roster comes in the form of a legacy player.

The Bruins officially signed 24-year-old goaltender DiPietro, the son of a legendary NHL figure.

During the 2022-23 season, DiPietro showcased his skills in one AHL game for the Providence Bruins, securing a victory with an impressive 2.00 goals-against average and a .943 save percentage.

Additionally, he boasted an impressive record of 19-9-0 in 29 ECHL games with the Maine Mariners, while maintaining a 2.61 goals-against average and a .918 save percentage.

Standing at 6-foot and weighing 200 pounds, DiPietro has a solid physique for his position. He has accumulated valuable experience over his career, having played in a total of 75 AHL games for Providence and Utica.

With a record of 40-25-6-1, he boasts a commendable 2.83 goals-against average and a .906 save percentage.

Born in Windsor, Ontario, DiPietro was initially selected by the Vancouver Canucks in the third round (64th overall) of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft.

Now, he joins the Bruins organization with the potential to make a lasting impact between the pipes. Bruins fans eagerly await his development and contributions to the team's future success.
