Meet your newest Bruin
The Boston Bruins made an interesting move by signing 22-year-old restricted free agent defenseman Alec Regula to a one-year deal.
The contract carries an NHL salary of $775,000, with a minor league salary of $100,000 and a guaranteed amount of $120,000. Regula was acquired by the Bruins from the Chicago Blackhawks as part of the Taylor Hall trade.
Regula has shown promise in his young career, particularly during his time in the AHL. In 51 games with the AHL affiliate team, he recorded 21 points, indicating his offensive capabilities from the blue line.
The Bruins are hoping that Regula's development continues to progress as he joins their organization.
With his youth and potential, Regula could become an asset for the Bruins in the future.
The team sees enough potential in him to provide him with an opportunity to prove himself at the NHL level.
It will be interesting to see how Regula adapts to the Bruins' system and if he can make an impact in the upcoming season.
