General Manager Don Sweeney announced that goaltender Michael DiPietro, defenseman Alec Regula, and defenseman Reilly Walsh have all joined the team.
Michael DiPietro, 24, demonstrated his skills during the 2022-23 season, appearing in one AHL game with the Providence Bruins.
He secured a win with an impressive 2.00 goals against average and .943 save percentage. Additionally, DiPietro played in 29 ECHL games with the Maine Mariners, boasting a 19-9-0 record with a 2.61 goals against average and .918 save percentage.
Standing at 6-foot and weighing 200 pounds, DiPietro has amassed valuable experience, having played in 75 career AHL games with the Providence Bruins, Utica Comets, and Abbotsford Canucks.
Throughout his career, he has achieved a record of 40-25-6-1, maintaining a 2.83 goals against average and .906 save percentage. The Windsor, Ontario native was originally selected by the Vancouver Canucks in the third round (64th overall) of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft.
Joining DiPietro is defenseman Alec Regula, aged 22. In the 2022-23 season, Regula showcased his skills in 51 AHL games with the Rockford IceHogs, contributing five goals and 16 assists for a total of 21 points.
He also made appearances in four NHL games with the Chicago Blackhawks during the same season.
Regula, standing tall at 6-foot-4 and weighing 218 pounds, has gained experience through his 22 career NHL games with the Blackhawks. In 108 AHL games with the IceHogs, he has scored 12 goals and provided 39 assists, accumulating 51 points.
Originally drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in the third round (67th overall) of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, Regula hails from West Bloomfield, Michigan.
Completing the trio is defenseman Reilly Walsh, aged 24. Throughout the 2022-23 season, Walsh demonstrated his skills in 71 AHL games with the Utica Comets, amassing nine goals and 32 assists for a total of 41 points.
He made his NHL debut with the New Jersey Devils during the 2021-22 season, contributing one assist against the Ottawa Senators.
Weighing 185 pounds and standing at 6-foot, Walsh has played in 174 career AHL games with the Comets, showcasing his offensive prowess with 23 goals and 76 assists, summing up to 99 points.
The Framingham, Massachusetts native was originally selected by the New Jersey Devils in the third round (81st overall) of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft.
