There's a large amount of things that happens behind the scenes to help NHL teams win games, and the Bruins made sure to thank those unsung heroes on Saturday.
The Bruins were on the road on Saturday for a thrilling (to say the least) game against the Minnesota Wild. Including two successful coaches' challenges by Jim Montgomery that helped Boston to a 5-2 win.
''Both of Boston's challenges came at critical junctures. The first challenge kept Minnesota's lead at 1-0. The second review maintained Boston's 2-1 cushion.''
‘'Following Saturday, Boston's video coaches are now five-for-five on the season in overturning goals.''
Celebrating a Thankless Job
Due to this, the team decided to do something special, as they presented Sean Andrake and Mat Myers with the game puck.
With the win, Boston improved to a 52-11-5 record for first in the league, and currently hold a 16-point cushion over the Toronto Maple Leafs for the Atlantic Division lead.
