The one thing that usually comes with several years of solid playoff teams is the lack of prospects in the system, and that includes the Boston Bruins.
However, according to multiple reports, the Bruins are expected to sign top defensive prospect Mason Lohrei in the very near future. Lohrei and the Ohio State Buckeyes just had their season end, and he's now expected to sign his ELC with Boston.
A Strong Sophomore Season
Lohrei, 22, recently finished his second season of NCAA hockey that saw him shoot up the prospect rankings for Boston. The 6'4'', 204 lb defender had a strong season with OSU, registering 4 goals and 28 assists in 39 games.
He was originally selected in the second-round (58th overall) by the Bruins at the 2020 NHL Entry Draft.
