Jake DeBrusk, the Boston Bruins forward, has been lighting up the scoreboard, but these might be his last few games wearing the Bruins jersey.

With a standout goal in the Bruins last game, DeBrusk has now tied Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak for the most playoff goals scored by a Bruins player over a 24-game span since 2021.

Each player has impressive stats: Marchand with 11 goals and 20 assists for 31 points, and both Pastrnak and DeBrusk with 11 goals and 7 assists for 18 points.

With a goal last night, Jake DeBrusk moved into a three-way tie for most playoff goals in Boston over a 24-game sample since 2021:

Marchand: 11G-20A-31PTS
Pastrnak: 11G-7A-18PTS
DeBrusk: 11G-7A-18PTS

This is a player you absolutely sign to a long-term extension.

Despite his on-ice success, DeBrusk's future with the team is in question. His performance might have pushed his market value higher than the Bruins are prepared to go.

This puts him in a tricky spot where, despite being an ideal candidate for a long-term extension, he may have priced himself out of Boston's budget.

As the playoffs continue, each game could be bringing DeBrusk closer to his final appearance for the Bruins, making his strong playoff performance bittersweet for fans hoping to see him stick around.
