Thursday night's game against the Maple Leafs in Toronto was supposed to be a big one for Boston Bruins' star forward David Pastrnak. Fans were hoping for a standout performance from him after a series where he's been mostly quiet. But after the Bruins' 2-1 loss, all eyes are on Pastrnak to step up in the upcoming Game 7 in Boston on Saturday.

Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery didn't mince words in his post-game press conference in Toronto. He bluntly called out Pastrnak, saying,

"Pasta needs to step up."
Montgomery wasn't happy with the team's slow start, especially with just one shot in the first period.

"It's unacceptable," Montgomery emphasized. "We've got to find a way to start on time and we just got to be better."

Despite leading 3-1 in the series, the Bruins now face elimination on home ice. Pastrnak, who has two goals and four points in the series, hasn't recorded a single point in the past two games.

Pastrnak himself acknowledged his lack of offense, wondering if he needs to shoot more. However, Toronto's defense blocked five of his shot attempts in the last game.

With memories of last year's disappointing playoff exit still fresh, Montgomery stressed the importance of focusing on the present. "We're not living in the past," he said. "We're not living in the future either. We're living in the present. Right now, we're not happy with our game. We're going to get ready for Game 7 starting now."

All eyes will be on Pastrnak and the Bruins as they look to avoid another playoff collapse and advance to the next round.
