Based on reports from Warrior Ice Arena this morning, Montgomery will have a full and healthy roster to choose from when the Panthers come to Boston on Monday.
At the same time, however, this means the Bruins bench boss will have to choose between multiple players deserving of a lineup spot. A decision that, thankfully, isn't mine to make.
According to Conor Ryan of Boston.com, the morning line rushes (as follows) show somewhat of a clearer picture of what that roster could look like come game one.
A.J. Greer, Jakub Lauko and Jakub Zboril were the only ''obvious'' choices to sit (although all have had solid seasons). The hard part is choosing between guys that have been regulars on the team for some time now, possibly including Connor Clifton, Matthew Grzelcyk, Derek Forbort, Trent Frederic, Nick Foligno and Tomas Nosek.
Judging by the lines at Saturday's practice, Grzelcyk - and Zboril - will be the defenseman out. It gets a little trickier on forward, but the fact that the veteran Foligno has been out with injury since late February suggests he could be in the press box to start the postseason.
Montgomery also has a big choice of who goes where in the lineup. Boston hasn't been 100% healthy since the Trade Deadline so it will be interesting to see what he comes up with!
