Bruins Rival Makes A Massive Trade

It's also the final day for placing players on waivers before the season opener.
In a last-minute move ahead of the 2:00 p.m. waiver deadline, the Toronto Maple Leafs and Vancouver Canucks have struck a deal.
TRADE ALERT: The #Canucks have acquired Sam Lafferty from the #MapleLeafs in exchange for a 2024 5th round pick.
Lafferty, who was acquired by the Leafs at last year's Trade Deadline, never quite found his place in their lineup.
This trade opens up a roster spot for either Noah Gregor or Fraser Minten with the Leafs.
