After failing to make a dent in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, GM Don Sweeney has his hands full this summer.
The Chicago Blackhawks are a team with a lot of draft picks this year and it may not be hard to move some if the price is right.
A potential offer was mentioned by Blackhawks Bleacher Nation writer Tab Bamford, that would see the Bruins move $6M off the books and acquire a late draft pick.
Taylor Hall may have to be dangled for a late rounder, the Bruins don't have a lot of leverage over teams with their cap restrictions. So moving Taylor Hall for a late round draft pick makes sense with the current situation in Boston.
Despite the Chicago Blackhawks being in a rebuild, it doesn't mean the team won't be able to add to the roster. Especially with the 1st overall draft pick on the way. Signing Taylor Hall could be a temporary addition, someone who helps protect Bedard but also mentors him for 1-2 seasons.
The Blackhawks may be able to sweep from under the rug because the Bruin need relief as much as possible.
