Claimed off waivers? Elliotte Friedman just revealed Marc McLaughlin's fate with the Boston Bruins

Marc McLaughlin's fate with the Boston Bruins was just confirmed by an NHL insider.

Yesterday the Boston Bruins made some roster moves by announcing their first rounds of cuts.

The Bruins announced 14-players that would be reporting to the Providence Bruins in the AHL, and some of them came as a surprise. Especially Fabian Lysell, and Georgii Merkulov who many had thought were going to be fighting for a roster spot come opening night.

Here is the full list of players the Bruins cut:

Here come the cuts: Joey Abate, Drew Bavaro, Ryan Bischel, Frederic Brunet, Michael Callahan, Riley Duran, Jackson Edward, John Farinacci, Brett Harrison, Trevor Kuntar, Fabian Lysell, Nolan Maier, Ryan Mast, Adam Mechura, Georgii Merkulov, Mason Millman, Jaxon Nelson to P-Bruins

Before the roster cuts, the Boston Bruins announced they have placed a player on waivers.

That player was Marc McLaughlin, and today we now know his fate with the Boston Bruins organization heading forward.

Elliotte Friedman announced that everyone that was placed on waivers yesterday has cleared, meaning Marc McLaughlin will not report to the Providence Bruins.

McLaughlin went undrafted, but has spent four years with the Boston Bruins organization, and in those four years he has only appeared in 14 games with the team.
