The Boston Bruins have had a hard time coming to an agreement on a contract with Jeremy Swayman, but a report today has revealed that their is a official contract offer on the table for him, and we could see him sign soon.
Boston Bruins management are holding a press conference today, and it was revealed that the Bruins have offered Jeremy Swayman a contract that is near what he is asking for.
A Bruins insider reported a few months ago that the Boston Bruins had offered Jeremy Swayman a 8-year, $8 million contract, and today that was confirmed by Cam Neely.
"I don't know about him, but I have $64 million reasons why I'd be playing."
The Boston Bruins, and Jeremy Swayman need to figure this out, after trading Linus Ullmark to the Ottawa Senators, Jeremy Swayman was set to be the starting goaltender for the Boston Bruins this upcoming season, but as of right now, Joonas Korpisalo, who was acquired by the Bruins in the trade with the Senators, is set to be the Boston Bruins number one goaltender heading into the 2024-25 season.
Jeremy Swayman stole the starting position from Linus Ullmark last year in the playoffs, appearing in 12 out of 13 games.
The Boston Bruins made some big moves in the off-season bringing in Elias Lindholm, and Nikita Zadorov to be more of a contender this year, but without Jeremy Swayman in nets, they might be in trouble.
If the Bruins do want to be competitive this year, they are going to need Jeremy Swayman in nets.
