Conflicting report surfaces regarding former Boston Bruins goaltender Linus Ullmark
A conflicting report has surfaced involving former Boston Bruins goaltender Linus Ullmark after being traded to the Ottawa Senators.
The Boston Bruins and Ottawa Senators combined for a trade that sent Linus Ullmark to the Ottawa Senators and in return the Boston Bruins got Mark Kastelic, Joonas Korpisalo and the Senators 25th overall pick.
After being traded to the Senators, there were multiple rumours that suggested Linus Ullmark was not going to re-sign there, but recently a new report has surfaced that reveals his future with the Ottawa Senators.
Former NHL general manager Shawn Simpson revealed that Linus Ullmark and his family have bought a house in Ottawa, and why else would Ullmark and his family purchase a house there unless they intend to be there long-term.
It has been reported by a front office executive with the Ottawa Senators that there is a lot of optimism there will be a deal in place before the 2024-25 season begins.
"Hearing Ullmark has bought a home in Ottawa," Simpson wrote. "I wouldn't be shocked if we hear about an extention before the season starts. If you've been to Sweden, you can understand Ottawa shares many of the same qualities of life. A great place for a young family."
Linus Ullmark after being traded to the Ottawa Senators revealed that he never did waive his no trade clause, and that the Senators were never apart of his 15 team no trade clause.
"I'm very excited about what's to come because I see a lot of potential in the Ottawa Senators," Ullmark said. "The thing that everybody talks about is that Ottawa is a great place to raise a family, and that speaks volumes for me."
Even after giving up some decent pieces to the Boston Bruins in exchange for Linus Ullmark, the Ottawa Senators got better and will be a better team this year, as most of their problems last year were bad goaltending, and now they have acquired a former Vezina Trophy winning goaltender.
