David Pastrnak has dropped the highest praise upon the newest Boston Bruin, Elias Lindholm.

Lindholm arrived in Boston, by way of Vancouver to improve, a worn-down roster, riddled with injuries and attrition.

That attrition included the retirement of Bruins legends David Krejci and Patrice Bergeron, who are legends in Boston in their right.

While he did come off a season of regression in Vancouver, the Bruins hope that Lindholm can find his game again and be the true 1C in Boston.

Before his arrival, the Bruins had to rely upon Charlie Coyle and Pavel Zacha, in place of those who came before them. While we don't deny their great efforts here, they weren't the ones to fill the role, which Lindholm could.

This isn't the only time that Lindholm has been compared to Bergeron, as GM Don Sweeney has described Lindholm, as "having Bergeron qualities".

On Monday, at the start of free agency, the Bruins took a step toward filling that hole, ending a two-year bid to bring center Elias Lindholm to Boston, a player general manager Don Sweeney said «has a lot of Bergeron qualities.»

«It's kind of been a two-year pursuit, to tell you the truth, wondering maybe if down the road he would ever get to free agency,» Sweeney said.

This is a glowing review by the GM and one of the best players in the Bruins, and with hope, Lindholm will be the new #1 in Boston from here on out.
