During the high-speed action of the NHL playoffs, referees have the challenging task of keeping up with the game without interfering.

However, in the recent Game 1 between the Boston Bruins and the Florida Panthers, an inadvertent incident involved referee Chris Rooney and Bruins' star player David Pastrnak.

As Pastrnak was navigating along the boards to control the puck, he unexpectedly collided with Rooney.

The impact was noticeable enough that Pastrnak gave Rooney a glaring look of displeasure, a moment that was quickly captured and shared widely on social media.

Recognizing the collision, Rooney approached Pastrnak during a break in play to ensure he was alright.

Despite this disruption, Pastrnak quickly refocused on the game, contributing with an assist on Morgan Geekie's third playoff goal.

This assist was pivotal, sparking the Bruins' offense and leading them to a commanding 5-1 win over the Panthers.
