As the Boston Bruins met with the media for one last time this season, All-Star winger David Pastrnak shared some unfortunate news about his opening round series.

Started Off on the Wrong Foot

Pastrnak revealed to the scrum in front of his locker at Warrior Ice Arena that he suffered a shoulder injury very early into Boston's seven-game series against Florida.

How early? Well, according to Pastrnak, he was hurt during his very first shift during game one and never fully recovered.

''Definitely painful to not be able to give your 100% and play my game for the series especially after the year I had and I've been healthy and I know what I can do when I'm healthy. It sucks.''

Pasta also shared that he doesn't think surgery will be needed, which is obviously great news for him and the team.

As Patrick Donnelly of Boston Sports Journal pointed out on Tuesday night, Pastrnak's injury most likely occurred after a missed breakaway and an 'extra'' hit from Aaron Ekblad into the boards. See below:

Even with his shoulder ailing him, Pastrnak registered 5 goals in the seven games against the Panthers. Clearly, it wasn't the Pasta that Bruins fans saw put up 61 goals and 52 assists in the regular season.
