The Boston Bruins' historic season came to an unfortunate early ending this year, seeing the Florida Panthers mount an all-time comeback against the Bruins. With huge question marks still in the air surrounding players like Bergeron and Krejci, many fans have wondered what the Bruins will look like next season, and according to general manager Don Sweeney, it could be very different.

Sweeney Says Multiple Players Won't Be Re-Signed

One incredibly tough aspect of hockey is finding space on your team for all of your players, especially in the salary cap era. Many teams are cap constrained, and re-signed every single player is more of a fantasy than a reality. Unfortunately for Bruins fans, they'll likely have to say goodbye to more than one of their impact players.

General Manager of the Bruins Don Sweeney told the media that with the Bruins current cap constraints, they will likely part ways with more than one of Dmitri Orlov, Tyler Bertuzzi, and Garnet Hathaway. This is the absolute last thing Bruins fans wanted to hear, especially after stellar post-season performances by Orlov and Bertuzzi.

Now, that's not to say that Boston couldn't pull something off ahead of the free agency period on July 1st, but as it currently stands, Boston is likely to lose more than one good player.
