Former Boston Bruins Players Career May Officially Be Over
Leading up to the NHL trade deadline, speculation swirled around the Vancouver Canucks potentially signing veteran forward Phil Kessel.
NHL insider Chris Johnston hinted at the possibility, sparking anticipation among fans. However, as the deadline passed, Kessel remained unsigned despite training with the Canucks' AHL affiliate.
Not trade related, but it sounds like things remain on track for Phil Kessel to sign with the #canucks before tomorrow's 3 p.m. ET trade deadline.
He needs to be on their reserve list by that time in order to be eligible for the Stanley Cup playoffs.
Canucks GM Patrik Allvin diplomatically addressed the situation, suggesting Kessel didn't align with their playing style.
It's a disappointing turn for Kessel, whose future in the NHL remains uncertain. Nonetheless, fans wish him well in whatever lies ahead in his career.
